The University of California Cooperation Extension Master Gardener program is a volunteer program designed to meet the gardening needs of home and community gardeners in the individual counties of California. Its purpose is to effectively extend University of California research-based horticultural information to interested persons through the utilization of knowledgeable volunteers. A trained volunteer staff provides information and program in horticulture, gardening and small-scale food production. Masters Gardeners answer questions, diagnose plant problems and provide pest management information via telephone, consultations, programs and plant clinics. Master Gardeners are available to answer questions on Mondays from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
